Jon combines drama and comedy to engage, educate and entertain audiences. He works across multiple genres, elevating and subverting them to highlight social issues and incorporate diverse characters and stories.

At AFTRS, Jon collaborated with producer Chidiebube Uba on the short film Ayo about young Nigerian-Australian men struggling to deal with the death of a friend; helped a team of Mauritian media professionals develop an animated family feature film (My Island Home); and worked with Wiradjuri animator Joshua Yasserie writing and developing a First Nations animation / live action comedy series KingsLand – recently selected for the 2023 ABC Fresh Blood initiative. He is currently writing an ongoing murder-mystery series (Queen of the Quay) and a true-life sports drama series (Wogball – Rise of the Socceroos).
